Generation P: Add to Your List of Favourite Russian Movies

I didn’t worry too much about both the overt and underlying meanings of this movie as I watched it because the acting and cinematography were such a mind trip.

Later on, though, I kept thinking about what truth Victor Pelevin was trying to unfold in his book, and if Victor Ginzburg had done him proud. There’s no simple answer to either of these, but try not to get so caught up in some elaborate message until later on. For now, just enjoy what’s coming at you.

If you’re still not intrigued, here are a few topics covered in the movie: Advertising, LSD, Che Guevara, Ouji boards, Capitalism, Consumerism, Soviet Russia and many more.
