Sky Villages: The Tsunami Solution

This is a relatively futuristic (and perhaps unrealistic) solution to the threat of tsunamis in Northern Japan. Instead of attempting to build communities in Mountainous regions, Japanese architect Keiichiro Sako is proposing several villages propped up 20 Meters off the ground.

Considering the surreal speed and efficiency at which East Asian architects build, this is far from unattainable.
